We are looking forward to welcoming you to NESE, and we hope that you are still planning to come. However, we understand that the situation with the Coronavirus is evolving, and planning can be difficult.

In accordance with ongoing guidance from the CDC (US Centers for Disease Control) and local government authorities, NESE classes are currently taking place in Harvard Square. However, as the health and well-being of NESE students, teachers, and staff are our number one concern, NESE is monitoring the situation very, very closely. If we are advised to close, all classes – both group and private – will be moved to NESE On-Line https://onlineclasses.nese.edu

If this does happen, and you had already started your classes at NESE, you would continue with exactly the same classes – with the same teacher – the same classmates – the same books – and at the same time of day, but you would take the classes online from your home or your student residence. All classes are live, and so you would be able to see and speak to your teacher and classmates easily. Now that NESE has launched NESE On-Line: https://onlineclasses.nese.edu, we are ready to start these classes if needed. (The classes are already on the website ready if needed, but hidden from public view.)

If you decide to postpone your trip to Boston, and NESE has moved all classes online, you would be welcome to join the daily schedule online – just as if you were in Boston. Again, as all classes are live, you would fully participate as an equal member of the class. You would have homework, class discussions, and be taught at the same high standards that always exist at both NESE, Harvard Square and NESE On-Line. In other words, from your home country, you would attend NESE, Harvard square in exactly the same way as the other current Boston-based NESE students would be.
