≪東日本大地震、そして津波について≫
アメリカンドリームの代表の吉川です。
弊社が本部を勤めるＩＹＥＯ青少年異文化交流推進協会の仙台デスクの皆さんのご無事を祈っています。電話回線状況が悪く、また、携帯のバッテリー消費を懸念してこちらからの電話コンタクトを控えていますが海外協力デスクと全国のＩＹＥＯデスクは皆さんの無事を願っています。可能な支援があれば、吉川宛に教えてください。
なお、広島では地震は感じられず、被害は出ていません。ＩＹＥＯのその他のデスクも関東圏を含め全員無事です。

急啓 ELS Language Centersのアラル真理です。
本日発生しました大震災につきまして、当社員一同、皆さまと皆さまのご家族の安否を、ご案じ申し上げております。 こちら北米におきましても、今回の地震、そして津波による大被害が報道されており、アメリカおよび、カナダのＥＬＳスタッフ一同、当校にて留学中の全ての日本人のご家族を含め、 皆さまのご無事を、心よりお祈り申し上げております。 余震、そして交通網のマヒ等が、引き続き報道されておりますが、皆様への支障は、最小限、また回復可能なものでありますこと、お祈り申し上げるばかりです。
また津波警告を受け、ＥＬＳホノルル校は本日閉校としましたが、津波発生後４時間経過しました現在、当校の受講生、関係者への影響はないとの報告を受けております（この件につきましては、英文メッセージを、センターより発送ずみ）。さらに北米、西海岸沿いの各都市における津波注意報、警告につきましては、各ＥＬＳセンターで細かくモニターを致しております。 西海岸で留学中のＥＬＳ受講生、関係者への影響はないものと見られますが、注意報が解除になりました時点で、全世界向けに英文メッセージが発送されることとなっておりますので、よろしくご確認のほど、お願い申し上げます。
ＥＬＳ受講生に、ご連絡を取られたい親御さん等いらっしゃいましたら、私または各ＥＬＳセンターまで、遠慮なく、お申し付けください。 被害を受けた日本の各都市の、一日も早い復興を、お祈りしております。

Dear Friends:
On behalf of LSC teachers and staff, we offer our heartfelt condolences for the suffering resulting from Friday’s earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
We sincerely hope that all of your friends and family are safe and secure, and we want you to know that LSC offices are here to provide support and assistance to LSC students at this difficult time.
For students who are currently at LSC and cannot return home, we will help them make accommodation arrangements and new flight arrangements.
For students who will be coming to LSC in the coming week, we can make new arrangements to dates as needed and please remember that our arrival phone numbers are available during the weekend as follows:

To our friends and partners in Japan and all over the globe,
We express our compassion for the tragedy that has hit Japan as a result of the earthquake that struck near northern Honshu. We send our friends and partners in Japan our sincerest wishes for health and safety for you and your loved ones. We feel very “with you in spirit.”
We want to let you know that we are especially supporting all of our Japanese students, as we know they are certainly affected by the terrible news reports and are anxious to know what's happening with their family and friends. We are providing the means for Japanese students to call home. And, we have mobilized our staff and faculty to be especially available for counseling and extra support to any students who express anxiety. Of course, as always, our support extends to students of all nationalities.
We also want to assure you that all our students here in Irvine are safe from any threat of tsunami. Please don’t worry about their physical safety. The City of Irvine and UCI are unaffected. The campus’ official Tsunami Advisory Update is this: “No impact on campus operations. All activities continuing as planned.”
If any students have expressed to you their distress regarding the earthquake’s effects, please let them know that all students are welcomed to our office for our support and to call home!
